The ability to wash the base of the unit means that any dead rodent smell from a previous kill can be washed off.
Rats are smart and suspicious and will often not enter a trap with the smell of another rat left behind.

- We have found peanut butter on a bit of baking paper works better than cheese and is easy to clean
